First, guestroombooking offers a worldwide listing of guesthouses and bed & breakfasts. The list is currently under construction, starting with Europe, and taking it's official "launch" spring 2007.
People looking for accommodation should find guestroombooking to be an easy tool to find accommodation and to get a good idea about what a bed & breakfast offers.
As a lot of smaller bed & breakfasts do not have a web-presentation yet we offer them the possibility to create a nice-looking presentation within the guestroombooking pages. A presentation they can use as their own website.
The listing and web-presentations are a free service from guestroombooking.

Second, there is the guestroombooking booking- & booking management system.
It is a mouth full, but it really is a full toolbox for guesthouse owners.
Apart from the free services (listing and web-presentation) of which the capacities are expanded, the guestroombooking system offers a lot more.
It will provide guesthouses with a full-featured and easy to manage database of all bookings and room attributions and accept on-line bookings according to the whishes of the owner.
It changes your web-presentation from one way information to an interactive desk, where travelers can check the availability of rooms, and book them at once within minutes.
The whole system is, of course, fully configurable to your wishes. For travelers this service comes at no extra cost, guesthouses pay a small fee.

two listings
"normal" and "gay"

Guestroombooking exists in two flavors.
There is the normal listing of guesthouses and bed & breakfasts that can be found on www.guestroombooking.com.
On the other hand there is a big group of frequent traveling gay & lesbian people. Some of them prefer to stay in an environment that is especially "gay friendly" or exclusively gay.
Some bed & breakfasts also want to address themselves specific or exclusively to the gay community. For this reason we also have gay.guestroombooking.com with a listing of gay and gay-friendly guesthouses.

short history

In 2002 we started running a small bed & breakfast in Antwerpen, Belgium.
As we were into web- and software development, and had the necessary equipment and servers running, we immediately started a website with instant booking system.
The booking system on the website was a big hit. From start we had around 3/4 bookings trough the internet, and for a lot of our guests the comfort of the instant booking system was a major reason to book at our place instead of elsewhere.

In 2005 the booking-system got completely rewritten, with multi user capabilities in mind. From april 2005 we tested the new system, using all of its tools, and improving and finetuning where needed.

At this moment we are starting to "populate" our listings, and the guestroombooking system is open for registration. In spring 2007 the guestroombooking site will officially be launched.

As a startup action we offer free use of all guestroombooking features (booking-system and database) for all guesthouses till september 2007. Note that this does not include the commissions charged by paypal (if you use deposit payments) or the fees for cellphone notifications (if you decide to use these).

If you don't need online bookings, an easy booking-database and all extras included, you can of course just keep it with the listing and info-pages. If you have your own website it will be linked to your info pages and your listing.
